Our understanding of art and music has been shaped by what we saw and heard, what we were confronted with, what impressed us and what changed us. Each of us has a personal canon that influences our judgments and our ways of making art. In the class I will present and discuss some pieces from my own canon from literature, music, art, and performance, and invite colleagues to do the same: Britta Wirthmüller, Julian Warner, Maria Huber, Philipp Krebs, and Luxa Schüttler will be guests in the class.
